Quick Facts:Â
-
What to use me for: I look great in a succulent garden, a rock garden, or any space with a Mediterranean vibe. In the home, I look bold and structural in a pot or terrarium. Feel free to go on holiday, I’ll be just fine til you get back.
-
I grow to: I can reach 30-60cms tall and 60-90cms wide. Beware – I have spikes.
-
Where to place me: Somewhere sunny in the garden and in a bright spot of indirect sunlight in your home.
-
How far to space me: Give me a metre of stretching space outside.
-
Soil Conditions: I like a dry life in free-draining potting mix. Try cactus soil mix and let it dry out between waterings for best results.
- Watering conditions:Â I’m not a big drinker. Let my soil dry out between waterings and in winter cut the watering back to once a monthÂ
-
Things you should know about me:Â I can deal with drought and dry soil but beware I have shade spikes so don’t plant me near paths.Â
