Bougainvillea Purple Gypsy – 85mm

Bougainvillea Purple Gypsy has deep purple bracts set against shiny dark green leaves. She is a medium grower and flowers well. Adaptable to tub culture,hedging,screening,rambling or being trained over fences,walls and pergolas makes her an adaptable plant.

Bougainvillea are long flowering and can be adapted for a wide variety of landscaping uses. Some of these uses include topiary, hedging, hanging baskets, arbours and arches. Today’s Bougainvillea have a great range in growth habit and height. There are dwarf varieties that grow to only a metre, compact medium growers and some such as White Cascade that offer a beautiful cascading habit. 

Bougainvillea prefer a well drained soil and sunny position.The range of colours offers limitless combinations and a palette to choose from that would satisfy any landscape design.
