Bougainvillea Temple Fire is a true dwarf Bougainvillea. It is less commonly known as ‘Helen Johnson’. The bracts first appear coppery-red in colour and mature to magenta-red. The leaves are small, broad with slightly pointed tips and wavy margins. The new growth is red-tipped. A self-branching bushy type, it is the perfect Bougainvillea for hedging. They will survive on low water levels and are relatively disease-free.Â
Bougainvillea are long flowering and can be adapted for a wide variety of landscaping uses. Some of these uses include topiary, hedging, hanging baskets, arbours and arches. Bougainvillea prefer a well drained soil and sunny position. The range of colours offers limitless combinations and a palette to choose from that would satisfy any landscape design.

Please note: At this small size, Bougainvillea have delicate roots and should be handled with care. Don’t tease or disturb roots but rather water the pot well, gently invert and tap pot on the side of a hard surface so it slides out. Our recommendation is to plant our beautifully-grown Bougainvillea into a larger pot rather than directly into the ground
