Ficus elastica Tineke
Here’s a new and pretty houseplant to brighten your coffee table and purify the air.
Ficus Elastica Tineke is a crazy mix of green, cream and pink. The rubbery new leaves pop out in attractive burgundy that fades as she matures. It’s a kaleidoscope of shades just perfect for fans of colour.
Pop one on your desk, brighten the bookcase and bring some life into the bedroom. Tineke suits every room in the house and likes bright light, but be careful not to place those party leaves in direct sunlight or she’ll burn.
Tineke is easy to care for. Plant her up in free-draining soil and only water when the soil is dry down to a few centimetres. Wipe the leaves down if they get dusty and that’s it. Yes, really! If you need any more help read our blog.
If you notice colours have faded she needs a bit more light. Put her closer to a window and she’ll be back to her full glory in no time.
