Grevillea Ned Kelly

Grevillea Ned Kelly is a fast growing, native shrub with beautiful large apricot/orange flowers that remain for the best part of the year and attract plenty of pollinators.

It has intricate fern-like and deeply toothed leaves that are glossy on top but have silvery hairs beneath. Ned Kelly brings lots of texture to a flower border, particularly in the breeze.

This is a tough native plant that can tolerate light frosts and droughts once established. It makes an excellent screen or windbreak.. You can keep it smaller with regular pruning if you prefer.

Planted en-masse Grevillea is stunning in full bloom and provides lots of erosion control. Ned Kelly will cope with most situations, including coastal sites, and encourages wildlife into your garden.

Grevillea is an old plant that’s been around since the 1960s and has never fallen out of fashion. It’s earned its place in the garden with strong health, attractive flowers and an easy to grow nature.

• What to use me for: I’m a great windbreak or screen and I create erosion control. If you have a wildlife garden I’ll draw in insects, birds and small mammals.
• I grow to: 1.5-2m tall
• Where to place me: I like full sun.
• How far to space me:  Give me 1-2 metres if you’re after a thick windbreak.
• Soil Conditions: I can grow in most soils, but I prefer fertile soil that’s well-drained. 

Beautifully grown and mature in size with developed roots and guaranteed sun hardened. These plants can be inserted straight into the ground and make an excellent garden plant.
