Microsorum “Green Flame”
Here’s an unusual and easy-care plant that’ll fill your living space with fresh green texture.
Microsorum Green Flame, often known as Elkhorn Fern, is an unusual fern with leathery, upright fronds and pointed tips. The fronds reach 18″ long and stand to attention throughout their life.
Green Flame will grow terrestrially or epiphytically. In plain language that means he’ll grow planted in soil or as an epiphyte – which is a plant that grows harmlessly upon another plant or object such as a piece of wood – absorbing moisture and nutrients from the air and rain.Â
Green Flame prefers low to medium light levels so pop this textured beauty in a pot or terrarium to brighten darker areas of the house.
You’ll need back away with the watering can because Microsorum needs very little water. Leave the soil until its dry down to a few cms before giving Green Flame a drink. Read our guide to indoor plants if you need some help.
