Monstera Deliciosa Tauerii – 85mm

Monstera Deliciosa Tauerii is a beautiful tropical evergreen that makes a large and attractive indoor specimen plant. If you’re looking for some front room wow-factor this low-care monster will certainly give you a show. Now to tell the difference between the Tauerii and the Deliciosa. The Tauerii is the dwarf version growing to approx 2m. 

Put him in bright indirect light and only water when dry – that’s it, simple. Scared? Read our guide to indoor plants. Resist from trimming the roots they are important.

Tauerii’s hefty scalloped foliage perched on long delicate-looking stems also softens outdoor spaces. He looks tropically amazing in the garden, but a word of warning – if you put him directly into the ground he may take over. The roots are invasive so we recommend keeping Monstera in a pot.

This handsome chap suits a poolside in particular but keep him in the shade or the foliage will burn.

How do I get the nice stylish leaf holes and splits out of him though? This varies pending on age, size and the amount of light the plant receives.

• What to use me for: I’m an indoor plant with designer chic and I soften an outdoor space – but only in a pot.

• I grow to: I’m a big boy reaching 2m

• Where to place me:  I need bright indirect light in the house and full shade outside.

• How far to space me:  I need a lot of room – 3.5 metres at least.

• Soil Conditions: I’m pretty hardy outside where I prefer moist soil, but indoors I need a well-drained potting mix and a light hand on the watering can.
