Nephrolepis Duffii

Duffii is especially pretty. She’s compact in size with small round leaves that are perfectly spaced along beautiful arching fronds.

It’s pretty hardy and suited to both indoor and outdoor conditions. If you’re going to keep this lovely indoors for a bright pop of colour, then pop her in a bright spot, but not direct roasting sunlight. Outside she needs some shelter and rich, moist soil. A well-watered hanging basket like our Elho self-watering hanging pots are a perfect home for this one.

Nephrolepis species are frost tender but are can be grown in mild areas.

• What to use me for: I brighten your living space in a pot or hanging basket and like it at the front of a shady border.

• I grow to: I’m a compact plant reaching 30cms high and 40cms wide.

• Where to place me:  I love a bright sunny spot or I can handle a darker corner just don’t put me in direct sunlight as I will burn.

• How far to space me: I don’t need much room – around 40cms is enough.

• Soil Conditions: I thrive in the fertile soil so use a good quality potting mix or fill the planting hole with organic matter. I’m a thirsty gal too and need regular drinks. For the brightest colour feed me gently, organic fish emulsion.
